Synopsis: Son of a country family from Carennac (Lot) a village on the sides of the Dordogne haunted by the memory of Fenelon, Joseph Carriére was born with electric light.
This old man (99 years) is not only a very vivid local memory but also a human being that we enjoy to take as an example,a reference for everybody’s daily life.
He gives and knows how to give courage.
Through the history of his country, friends, crisis, wars and successive stakes until the last one: regional identity, his meeting with Joseph Carriére, the authentic image of the human progress is a disturbing actuality.
This film is the portrait of a man and his country through the conversations with his interlocutor who could be one of us.
