JEAN CORTOT, PAINTED WRITING

Synopsis:
This documentary wants to translate Jean Cortot’s personal touch. We see through his two studios in Paris and in the Lot area, close to Turenne, but also the one deeply inscribed in the French southern outside.
Landscape painter of the mind, Jean Cortot seems to be born to call the words, to break them, to let them fall such as rain or letters on the beach of the canvas so he can gather them into a round following the music of the prism. Jean Cortot’s work and this portrait are a tribute to the empire of the signs, those which aren swaped between painters and poets.
