THE LARK’S SONG or THE TROUBADOURS’ HERITAGE
Synopsis: In the 12th century, by the own power of words and music the Troubadours’s works made a start on a philosophical and cultural renaissance, which ten centuries later keep all our attention thanks to its modernity.
This film, which looks more like an inquiry and an initiatory path, enables us to discover, in the heart of the Limousin, New York, Budapest and all the south of France, the roots of the Troubadours’s art and its various posts in the contemporary creation.
Contemporary poets, singers and specialists of the trobar wonder about what one of the first cultural revolutions of the occidental civilisation is made of.
Pierre Bec, les Fabulous troubadours, Francis Lalanne, Gerard Le Vot, Jacques Roubaud, Pierre Lartigue, Imre Szabics, Joel Cohen, Anne Azéma,Luc de Goustine, Gérard Gonfroy have contributed to this film.
